Pipe is not where to save money
Everything else in a bathroom can be replaced in an afternoon. Pipe is buried in a wall or a floor, and replacing it means breaking something. That is the whole argument for buying branded pipe from a dealer rather than whatever is cheapest at the time, and it is the reason we have carried Ashirvad for years.
The failure mode people underestimate is not the pipe bursting. It is a joint weeping slowly behind plaster for a year until a patch of wall goes soft. By then the tiling is done and the bathroom is in use, and the repair costs many times what the correct pipe would have.
CPVC, UPVC and SWR — which is which
These get confused constantly, so plainly:
- CPVC (FlowGuard Plus) — handles hot water up to roughly 93 degrees. Use it for geyser lines and any hot supply. Cream coloured.
- UPVC — cold water only. Fine for overhead tank feeds, garden lines and cold distribution. Cheaper, and completely wrong for a hot line.
- SWR — soil, waste and rainwater drainage. 75mm for basin and sink waste, 110mm for WC connections. Grey.
- Column pipe — threaded pipe for submersible borewell pumps, which comes up constantly on the rural fringes of Warangal district.
Putting UPVC on a hot water line is the most common mistake we see, and it is usually done to save a few hundred rupees on a job worth lakhs. Ask us if you are unsure; the answer takes ten seconds and costs nothing.
Sizes we keep
For an ordinary Warangal home, 15mm feeds individual fittings, 20mm runs risers and geyser connections, and 25mm carries the main distribution. Larger houses with multiple bathrooms often need 32mm on the primary run. We stock FlowGuard Plus across SDR 11 for hot service, and keep the matching elbows, tees, couplers, reducers and brass-threaded transition fittings in the drawers behind the counter.
Pipe is sold by the length or the bundle and cut here if you need part lengths. For a site running over several weeks, tell us the schedule and we will hold stock rather than letting it go over the counter.
Use the right solvent cement
CPVC cement and PVC cement are different products and are not interchangeable, despite looking nearly identical on the shelf. We stock the CPVC one in 100ml through 500ml tins. Getting this wrong produces a joint that holds during testing and fails months later — which is precisely the buried, expensive failure you were trying to avoid by buying good pipe in the first place.
Contractor and builder pricing
Plumbing is a volume business and we price it that way. If you are running jobs across Warangal, Hanamkonda, Kazipet, Subedari or the wider district, set up trade rates with us once and they apply to every order after. For larger builds we can quote a full bill of materials from your drawings — send it on WhatsApp and we will come back with pricing and what is available immediately versus what needs ordering.

Common questions
- Do you stock Ashirvad CPVC pipe in Warangal?
- Yes. Sree Surya Sanitation stocks Ashirvad FlowGuard Plus CPVC pipe and fittings in the common sizes at Mandi Bazar, Girmajipet, Warangal, along with UPVC, SWR drainage and column pipe. Contractor pricing is available for bulk plumbing work.
- What is the difference between CPVC and UPVC?
- CPVC handles hot water — up to about 93 degrees Celsius — so it is used for geyser lines and any hot supply. UPVC is for cold water only. Using UPVC on a hot line is the single most common plumbing mistake we see, and it fails at the joints within a couple of years.
- Which CPVC size do I need?
- For a typical Warangal home, 15mm (half inch) feeds individual fittings, 20mm (three quarter inch) runs risers and geyser connections, and 25mm (one inch) carries main distribution. If you are unsure, bring the old pipe or a photo and we will match it.
- Do you sell solvent cement for CPVC?
- Yes, and it matters that you use the CPVC one rather than the PVC tin. They are not interchangeable. A joint made with the wrong cement can hold for months and then let go behind a wall.
